Does your child need extra support? Your child's school first investigates whether it can provide appropriate help itself. Sometimes this is not possible. Then your child will go to a special (base)education. We distinguish between special primary education and special education.

Your child cannot just go to special education or special primary education. The Support Team examines what is the best place for your child. If this is special (primary) education, the school will ask for a You can apply for an admission declaration (tlv).This is proof that your child is entitled to a place in special (primary) education.
This is a more intensive form of education. Special education is divided into four clusters:
Teaching blind and visually impaired children.
This type of special education is not covered by our partnership (national indication) >> Visio Foundation provides special education admissions certificates for children who are blind or visually impaired.
Education of deaf and hard-of-hearing children and children with severe speech-language problems.
This type of education is not covered by our partnership >> Simea Foundation provides admissions declarations for special education for children who are deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech/language disorder.
Education of children who are long-term sick (LZ), have a physical disability (LG), are multiple disabled (MG) or have very difficult learning (ZML).
Admission to this form of special education does go through our partnership.
Education of children who have difficulties in social-emotional or behavioural areas. Admission is through our partnership; there are two forms:
The special primary education (SBO) offers education to pupils who have more difficulties in learning, and do not develop optimally in regular education. This is often accompanied by another problem. For example, insecurity, or concentration problems.
Special primary education aims to ensure that as many pupils as possible move on to regular secondary education after grade 8.
SBO is similar to regular primary education, but different in a few key ways:
Is special (basic) on education the best option for your child? Then the school will apply for an admission statement (TLV) from the samenity agreement. Your child will need this document to attend the special (base)education. The application for the TLV is made by the school together with you.
Er its different types of primary schools. Some schools are 'special' because they teach based on a faith, philosophy of life or educational concept. Schools with a special education concept teach according to a particular vision. Such as Dalton, Jenaplan, Waldorf and Montessori. Find more information here.

The school where your child is notified has duty of care. This means that together see which help your child needs. The school looks at whether the school who can give extra help themselves. If necessary, the school can ask for experts from our partnership to join a Support team.
All schools offer help that many pupils need. Examples include help with dyslexia and help for pupils who learn faster or more difficult. This help is called thebasic support
If your child needs more help, or help that is very specific, this is called extra support. This help varies from school to school. Every year, a school makes a plan about the help at school. In this plan, the school support profile, states what support is available and how it is organised. You can find the school support profile on the school website. Sometimes it is also called 'care plan'.
In practice, it is often difficult to get a good idea, based on a plan on paper, of what the school can actually offer in terms of help for your child. For this, it is best to meet the school in person. This can be done on an open day for a general introduction.
Yes, it is allowed. If a school can prove that the class is full, the school has no duty of care.
Does your child already attend a primary school? If so, dhe school's duty of care. School requests a Support team to our partnership. It is important to get a good understanding of what the best educational place for your child is.
Is your child not yet attending a school? Then you can report directly to the school for special (primary) education. This school can involve the experts of our partnership in a Support team. Do you have important information from the pre-school, for example? Please share that with the school.
If there is a good reason for it, it can sometimes be done. Discuss this with the pre-school or childcare centre.
