The transfer from PO to VO is coming up soon, which makes it a good time to reflect on transfer again. For a vulnerable pupil, the transfer between schools via the table afternoon is not always enough to make a successful start at secondary school. Sometimes more is needed for that. That is why we organise project Soft Landing for (highly) gifted pupils - and their parents - who need a boost due to an extra support need. You can apply from 6 April to 15 April.
Which students are eligible?
A pupil is eligible for Soft Landing if there are any of the three support needs listed below:
- The pupil has been diagnosed with giftedness and there is a problem (without a diagnosis)
- The pupil has been diagnosed and additionally shows characteristics of giftedness (HB may or may not have been established through an intelligence test)
- The student has been double accelerated and is now entering secondary school extremely young.
More information on the project can be found here.
Want to register a student directly?
Do you have a student who is going to VO next year and would greatly benefit from the soft landing? You can apply from 6 April to 15 April.
+ When? You can register this student from the day the student knows which school it has been placed at. In most cases, this is on 6 April.
+ How? Make sure parents sign the consent form and complete (together) the details of the application form. You can find these and more information on the application here.
