Communications trainee
We are looking – for September or October 2026 – for a creative and enthusiastic intern.

What will you do?
As a communications intern at the Samenwerkingsverband Primair Onderwijs Amsterdam Diemen (SWV), you will devise content and campaigns that enable education professionals (such as teachers) to provide all pupils with an education that suits them.
You interview at primary schools and write engaging stories that resonate with professionals, you devise communication campaigns, content and tools for the newsletter, website and our knowledge platform Courtyard. This internship fits perfectly with your final internship qualifications and you'll be doing something good for the world!
You will work closely with the communications consultant and (web) editor.
Who are you and what can you learn?
- Creative: You enjoy finding interesting stories, are passionate about writing and creating suitable digital content, and can communicate clearly and effectively in writing. Experience in making videos, podcasts, or webinars is an advantage.
- Communication skills: You can convey your message clearly and convincingly, both in text and images.
- Increasing visibility: You devise ways to increase Binnenplaats's visibility, for example through podcasts or webinars.
- Targeted: You are coming up with plans on how we can present our message in new and innovative ways, thereby improving visibility with that target group.
- Technical skills: You have experience managing websites (WordPress) and social media channels (LinkedIn). Experience creating newsletters via Laposta would be a bonus.
- Interest in primary education: You are interested in primary education and the themes surrounding appropriate and inclusive education.
What do we offer?
- Start date: September 2026 (subject to agreement) for a period of 5 or 6 months
- By agreement: 32 to 40 hours per week
- You will receive an internship allowance
- You will join a collegial and close-knit team, where there is a lot of attention for each other. In addition, we regularly organise fun team activities in which you can also participate wholeheartedly.
